SoulSeekQT has an absolutely awful user interface, isn't particularly intuitive, and in my experience is rather unstable, particularly when doing searches, and even moreso when closing multiple search tabs. iSoul, a fork of SolarSeek, is an open-source Mac application for connecting to the SoulSeek peer to peer network. Very sad given how incredibly ugly it is. However, I have been unable of two things: 1- Change the downloads folder 2- Share any folder.
I am able to look for files, browse users and download songs. iSoul is stable and works okay for those who only require the most basic functionality (and that may include many people), but for those who require the features and functionality SSK-QT may be the only way to go (sigh). I am coming back to Soulseek since many years without using it.
